Cellíssimo brings young performers and distinguished teachers together in Medellín for five days of intensive learning, chamber music, concerts and connection. The format is deliberately personal, with opportunities to work directly with teachers, listen to fellow musicians and discover new approaches to the instrument.

VOICES OF CELLÍSSIMO
Cellíssimo changed how I understand chamber music. In five days, I learned more about listening than in years of individual study.

Matias de Oliveira Pinto
São Paulo, 1960 — Berlin, 2025
Cellíssimo began with a vision from cellist and teacher Matias de Oliveira Pinto.
Cellíssimo began with a vision from cellist and teacher Matias de Oliveira Pinto.
After seeing the impact of music education on young performers in Colombia, he imagined a space devoted to the growth of a new generation of cellists: a personal, demanding and generous gathering where teachers from around the world could share their experience directly. That vision became Cellíssimo.

Teachers from different countries work directly with students from Colombia and across Latin America. Concerts and open activities share that exchange with the public. Cellíssimo strengthens the local music community and creates connections among musicians, universities, conservatories and institutions.
